Non-GMO Goat and Sheep Feed, Milled Fresh in Centerville, TN
Small Ruminant Feed
Two distinct complete feeds, because copper matters. The goat feed carries the copper goats need; the sheep feed leaves it out. Both milled fresh with a full balanced mineral package.
✔ Full balanced Fertrell mineral package in every complete feed
Our goats love the feed we get them from Duck It! We happily drive about 50 miles to get our feed for the month. Our goats have done considerably well on the grain mix and seem so much more satisfied and healthier than they were when we fed them commercial pelletized feed.

Common Questions About Goat Feed
-
Because whether you raise goats for milk, meat, or clearing brush, what goes into them ends up in what they give back. We grow corn, soybeans, and wheat from non-GMO seed on our own land and on neighboring Hickman County farms we know personally, then mill everything fresh right here. That is not a marketing angle. It is the reason we farm this way, and it does not change when a cheaper ingredient comes along.
-
Yes. The 16% Sheep Feed is safe for goats and can be a practical choice for a mixed goat and sheep herd. It does not provide the added copper found in the Dairy Goat Feed, so talk with your veterinarian about the mineral needs of your goats.
-
Goats need copper, while sheep are much more sensitive to it. That is why Duck It Farm uses a goat mineral package in the Dairy Goat Feed and a separate sheep-safe package with no added copper in the Sheep Feed.
-
Whether the animal is raised for milk, meat, breeding stock, or the homestead, its feed begins with the grain. We choose non-GMO seed, know where the grain was grown, reduce reliance on unnecessary synthetic chemical inputs, and mill it locally. The goal is a shorter, more accountable chain from the field to the animal and from the animal to the food it produces.
-
The label calls for about 1% of body weight, or roughly 1 pound of feed for every 3 pounds of milk production, along with clean water and forage. Adjustments may be needed for age, body condition, forage quality, pregnancy, or lactation.
-
Wethers can be vulnerable to urinary calculi when the overall ration is not balanced for them. Do not assume the richest goat feed is the right choice. Tell us what else they eat, including forage and minerals, and involve your veterinarian when building their feeding program.
